4 Senior Engineer – QS
JOB OBJECTIVE:
In charge of correlating information relating to all financial aspects of future and ongoing projects in respect to the cost estimates and baseline budget, implementing the procedures & instructions, efficiently keeping current all project records related to quantity surveying which must be imparted to the Manager-Estimation for proper administration of the project. Responsible together with the team to undertake tender exercises, providing commercial evaluation of bids received and arranging formal execution of subcontracts in accordance with customer requirements, best value outcomes, company policy, building regulations and other relevant legislation. Also responsible for the preparation of interim payments, variation orders, Penultimate Bills and claims.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES
- Five (5) years work experience with exposure to civil engineering projects and with experience in Cost Estimation, Cost Analysis, Cost Forecasting, and Cost Reporting.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
SKILLS
- Knowledge in PRIMAVERA 6, AutoCAD & MS Office is a must
- Must be well versed with Conditions of Contract, QCS2007, and Standard method of measurement.
- Able to identify VO’s, submit budgetary costs implications & draft sub-contract documents.
- With good communication skills in English both written and oral communication.
- Familiar with local standard quality implementation and safety aspects in construction
