Overview:
Responsible for coordinating, supervising, and directing all aspects of the hotel’s catering and events operations, while maintaining a profitable operation and high-quality products and service levels. Share ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue and payroll budgets; and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high.
Attributes, Experience and Requirements:
- Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the hotel’s catering and events operation.
- Work alongside the F&B department and keep them informed of F&B issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with SOP’s and requisition procedures.
- Prepare reports, budgets and quarterly actions plans.
- Ability to effectively handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- A strong leader, excellent communication and listening skills.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
- Proficient in Arabic – speak, read, write.
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Middle East within Luxury Hotels and a busy, large catering operation.
