To respond to health emergencies, administer medical examinations, perform hygiene and sanitation inspections, manage first aid kits, and deliver first aid trainings to minimize the risk of health problems among GWC employees
Responsibilities:
Emergency Response
Remain on continuous alert to attend to any case of employee health emergency within GWC premises in order to ensure that emergencies are addressed promptly and adequately.
Medical Examinations
Administer general medical examinations to new and existing employees such as blood group, blood pressure, blood sugar and any other examination that may be required to maintain a medical database of GWC employees and to keep them informed of their general health status.
Hygiene & Sanitation Inspections
Perform a monthly hygiene and sanitation inspection across all departments, particularly in pantry, bathrooms, and on the catering staff to ensure that cleanliness is maintained and health hazards are avoided.
Medication Prescription
Upon employee request for medication, assess the employee’s medical condition and provide the relevant medication accordingly to diminish the employee’s problematic symptoms.
First Aid Training
Provide occasional training sessions to employees on first aid methods to better enable them to respond to any onsite medical emergency.
Safety, Quality, & Environment
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the section in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a world class service.
Participate in cost-efficient usage of all applicable resources to reduce wastage and unnecessary expense.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the identification of opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programmes and projects that reflect international best practice and changes in the competitive environment.
Related Assignments
Perform other duties and assignments as directed.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Nursing; Registered nurse
3-5 years’ relevant experience mainly in the industrial nursing field
Knowledgeable and trained on Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and other relevant trainings.
