 To enhance the processes of preparation of budget estimate, tender documents, measurement and costing, tendering procedures, award of Contracts, preparation of Contract documents, review and coordination with the Engineers, end users, stake holders within and outside the department.
 To carry out monthly financial reviews (CV R’s) on projects and forecast final outrun values for cost, sales and margin. Maximise value of monthly applications and measurement and submission of contract variations.

 Formalize the standard documents for the effective functions of the section.
 As a member of tender evaluation team, responsible to review, recommend the Technical and Commercial submissions and endorse for Tender committee approval. Review and approve the tender and contract documents.
 Accountable for review and approve letter of award, payment certifications, variations, Final Account and completion certificates.
 Monitor all commercial information in relation to project including labour, material and sub-contractor cost forecasting thus ensuring budgets adhered to.
 Liaison with Qatar Airways internal Departments (Procurement, Contracts, Finance and Budget) for the management of the projects.
 Identify, assess and resolve financial and contractual risks for the project, analyse outcomes and prepare detailed project report and Financial close out reports for the projects.
 Facilitate seamless communication of all relevant (technical/nontechnical) information across the organization on a real time basis for maximum effectiveness.
 Communicate/coordinate with contractor and client on contractual compliances including interface with other disciplines;

Management & Leadership
 Establish the department or teams’ objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
 Regularly evaluate the department or teams’ objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes
 appropriate changes if needed.
 Oversee, supervise and coach employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service and revenue delivery.
 Identify, assess and resolve financial and contractual risks for the project
 Assign tasks to employees under supervision, direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service deliver

Personal Development
 Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise.
 Keep abreast with any market trends and developments.
 Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program.

 Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 10-14 years of job-related experience

 Engineering degree
 RICS Certificate

 Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills.  Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records and generate reports.
