Job Summary:
Raytheon Missiles and Defense and the JSOW® program are seeking to hire a Field Service Representative (FSR) to provide in-country Technical Support to the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) for the Joint Standoff Weapon JSOW®.
The FSR will support the JSOW® AGM-154C (Block III) configuration at various locations in Qatar.

Travel will be required. Must be willing and able to deploy to environments that may include harsh living conditions (extreme heat and cold, deployed living conditions and/or hostile work environment). Primary location to be in Middle-East desert with temperatures above 120 degrees F. Must be willing and able to move and/or lift weights such as test equipment, ladders, tools and cable reels weighing up to 60 pounds using proper lifting techniques or using material moving equipment. Must be willing and able to work 12-16 hours a day and be on call 24/7, if required. Must be willing and able to climb platforms (appx. 12 feet),to travel over rough and uneven terrain
This assignment is 1 year in-country with an option of an additional year and has added compensation benefits.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) to weapon station personnel in the handling, maintenance, loading, and operation techniques as they pertain to adjustment, calibration, troubleshooting, inspection and repair of the JSOW weapon.
- Advise and instruct in the use of associated special tools and equipment.
- Provide Safety instruction, as related to all aspects of the JSOW AGM-154C and associated support equipment, inspection and Built-In Test (BIT).
- Provide liaison between Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Raytheon, and the Government. Provide technical information related to handling, maintenance, operational support, and test and evaluation of the JSOW C on the F-15QA platform.
- Advise maintenance personnel in preparing failure reports.
- Provide technical assistance with JSOW mission planning
- Troubleshoot and identify faults using the Common Munitions BIT Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE)
- Direct and support the installation, maintenance, and operation of all aspects of the JSOW support equipment
- Evaluate and document field operational capability, availability and utilization to Customer and Program Office via reports
- Interface with customers in the field and reach back to Engineers state side for support
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of prior relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 9+ years of relevant experience is required
- Experience with loading ordnance on fighter class aircraft
- Experience with in armament maintenance and inspection
- Experience with internal and external stakeholders
- Display ability to develop, communicate, implement tactical plans
- Experience in fostering collaboration between functional organizations as well as keeping team members focused and accountable for schedule milestones and objectives. Motivating program team to develop cost effective customer-oriented solutions and approaches.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.”
Qualifications We Value:
- Arabic language skills & cultural awareness
- Demonstrated knowledge of military protocol, to include Qatar
- 6+ years of experience directly supporting program objectives managing cost, schedule and technical performance
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering discipline, processes, and development execution
- Demonstrated capability to focus, evaluate, and motivate teams, enabling them to achieve desired results
- Working knowledge of Understanding of ITAR and Export Import (EX/IM) (will be trained for Raytheon unique policies)
