We are currently seeking the expertise of a BAKERY MANAGER to join the team of this new and exciting bakery that will be opening in Doha, Qatar.
The bakery will be a specialist outlet with Asian style bakery products, including range of soft, savory snack breads, gourmet loaves and all kinds of alluring buns, cakes, tarts, and modernized pastries, to name a few.
As a Bakery Manager, you will be a skilled Baker in Asian style products and be able to create amazing recipes and train your staff on the highest levels.
Key Focus Areas:
- Manages all day-to day operation of the Bakery
- Prepare a wide variety of goods and following traditional and modern recipes
- Able to produce all baked goods
- Able to develop, design, or creates new ideas
- Ensure excellent quality throughout all offerings
- Follows proper handling and right temperature of all products
- Coordinated activities of team members
- Supervise, manage and coordinate all preparation and presentation
- Manage all stocks
- Manage and Maintain all equipment and maintenance issue
- Attend and schedule employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
- Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively
- Able to recognize superior quality products, presentation and flavors
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Operates and maintain all department equipment and reports malfunctions
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
- Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
- Endure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety standards
- Guide and motivate bakers to work more efficiently
As ideal candidate you will have:
- Culinary qualification – diploma in bakery/pastry essential
- Excellent knowledge of Asian style bakery goods
- Minimum International experience 5 years in bakery department
- Excellent knowledge in Bakery department
- Must possess exceptional culinary insight
- Excellent knowledge of standard food preparation
- Previous experience in developing menus or creating new menu items
- Must have the ability to work in high-volume environment
- Fluent English
- Outgoing and friendly demeanor, able to engage and communicate effectively with Peers and Sub-ordinates
