1. JOB DETAILS
Job Title:
Loading Supervisor
Reports to: Direct (Line): Loading Lead
Department: Logistics, Distribution and Operations – Loading
2. JOB OBJECTIVE
To supervise the loading activities in the assigned shift in accordance with the established company’s policies and procedures in order to ensure efficiency and safety in day to day operations.

Description
Supervision of Subordinates
• Supervise the activities and work of subordinates in the Loading to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient & Safe manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
• Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.
• Ensure that the procedures/documents are updated in line with the company’s policies and ensure that the loading team follow the laid down procedures
Budgets and Plans
• Contribute to the preparation of the budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified.
• Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
Loading Activities
• Direct and supervise the day to day activities of assigned staff in loading area in order to ensure that work is carried out as per the set plans and guidelines.
• Ensure that petroleum products in specified quantities are loaded in to road tankers efficiently and in accordance with all prescribed safety loading procedures.
• Ensure that products are loaded according to specifications and are free from any water or other contaminants. The same applies to ensuring physical densities are taken and recommended for Jet A-1.
• Implement the working schedules and ensure its compliance with the local market demand.
• Supervise the handling, recording and processing of documents relating to loading operations in order to keep track of loading activities and analyse the same.
• Make sure that the operation of loading gantry facilities is efficient and in a safe manner in order to maintain operational excellence.
• Monitor the loading operations and highlight any differences and action to be taken to conform to the standard.
• Coordinate / liaise with finance regarding queries or anomalies in order to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
• Coordinate with Engineering Services Department for carrying out maintenance of loading facilities without affecting the daily loading operation.
• Supervise loading equipment to make sure that they are in proper working condition and that the gantry area is safe to operate to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure that the Scully, VRU and other associated activities are carried out by the loading team
• Ensure proper operational and safety trainings are provided to the Loading staff
• Ensure that the required Loading KPIs are achieved .
• Adapt with the change in business scenarios and prepare the team to face the changes
Continuous Improvement
• Motivate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
• Implement departmental policies, systems and procedure so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
• Ensure that the loading activities are carried out in line with Qatari laws, statutory requirements and International Industrial and environmental norms.
Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment
• Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity to guarantee employee safety, compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
• Ensure adherence to the company’s safety procedures and policies during normal and emergency situations as well as ensure that the premises are free of any potential hazards.
• Train and develop new staff operating fire fighting equipment in emergencies & use of PPE.
Management Reports
• Prepare departmental statements and reports timely and accurately to meet Woqod and department requirements, policies and standards.
• Submit reports on maintenance activities and accidents on other subjects as well as required by management.
Related Assignments
• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

5. BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY
• Key decisions having significant impact on the loading operations are referred to the Oil Movement and Loading Section Head for approval before implementation.
• The jobholder exercises financial authority as per the level established by the WOQOD board and stipulated in the authority matrix.
6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications:
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
• 7 years’ experience in similar operations in oil industry with at least 3 years holding a supervisory role in fuel distribution.
